About The Singalila Pass - Phoktey Dara Trek
As a borderline trek, Singalila Pass Trek is one of the best trek to experience Sikkim, Darjeeling and Nepal at one go and get your imaginations flowing. Offering the view of 4 out of 5 highest peaks in the World, not many trek can bost of the same. Mt. Everest ( 8850m, 1st), Kanchenjunga ( 8586m, 3rd), Mt. Lhotse (8516m, 4th) and Makalu (8481m, 5th). The trail is also fully loaded with wild life and vivid flora. During the springs, rhododendrons color up the trail. The distinctively remote trail is lit up energy and happy mindedness of the local staffs who accompany the trek. You also witness the mixture of Tibetan, Nepali, Sikkimese, Subba and Lepcha culture in this entire trek route in form of its people, their way of living and architecture.

Brief Details Of The Day: It's a very easy and beautiful walk today through the forest with gentle ups and downs and crossing multiple streams. We initially climb up to Samanden and then walk further with gentle ascends and descend to reach Rammam. From Ramam the trail descends down to Srikhola which is the roadhead and where the trek ends. We must be hungry by now and thirsty for some party as well after the long trek. Hence we walk another kilometer on a flat trek to reach Sepi where we have lunch and our last assemble as a team. We then disperse to either Darjeeling or Bagdogra from here.
