Freelance Seasonal Trek Leader​​

Role Description: The role of a trek leader is to see through the efficient running and handling of a trek batch. He/ She will require to be confident and capable enough to take proper care of each and every trekkers in the batch - physically and mentally. Physical care refers to physical safety, well being, comfort, participation and enjoyment. Whereas, mental care refers to will power motivation, driving inspiration, enhancing confidence and boosting adventure sense not just to successfully complete the trek comfortably but also make him a better mountaineer. The role also demands a good knowledge on trek equipments and a proper, efficient arrangements of a trek batch, efficient and resourcefulness in management of local staffs and other things involved in a trek. They will also need to be cautious about the fragile nature and hence follow and preach Eco Tourism.

Job Terms: They will be hired on batch to batch basis in an ongoing season for any particular trek. It can be a single trek batch or multiple batch, depending on the bookings. More terms will be shared on confirmation through email.

Emoluments: The emoluments will include all the expenses of transport and food allowance paid - ex Delhi ( for North Indian Treks) and ex Kolkata ( for treks in Eastern Himalayas ). A daily stipend of INR 1000 - 3000 per day ( depending upon the trek ), for trek days added with an incentive. Arrangement for stay food allowance will be provided. More details to be shared on confirmation over email.

Freelance Base Camp Manager

Role Description: The role of a base camp manager is to see through the overall arrangements and management of a trek batch or batches. Their job will typically include efficient arrangements of equipment to the trek from the base camp, purchasing of rations, selection of local staffs, arranging accommodation at the base for the trekkers and the outstation staffs, movement of logistics in coordination with the office, work hand to hand in coordination with office to ensure resourceful and efficient management, but not limited to that. Its a very important role and the quality of service largely on it. Enough coordination and plan will be sent from office to ease out the job, and the role will demand to ensure proper execution on field. He/ she will also need to be cautious about the fragile nature and hence follow and preach Eco Tourism and provide support to the Trek leader in following the same. While the trek is on, he needs to be active in providing support from the base and be prepared to handle uneventful scenarios.

Business Developer

Role Description: The role of a business developer is to use his/ her network to generate business for Himalayan High in form of arranging of a trek group. The group can be inline with the initial itinerary of Himalayan High or be customized to meet the requirements of the group. It may be a group of students on excursion, and outdoor activity for corporate, a project on the Himalayas, etc.

Job Terms: The role is not restricted by any terms but just the conscience and ethics of Himalayan High towards the mountains and its people.

Emoluments: Can be discussed.

 

 

Web Content Manager

Role Description: The role of a web content manager is to manage and add related content to the website and Social Media. It includes Social Media Management as well. 

Job Terms: Its a Work-From-Home job preferably suited but not restricted for a female candidate. A job with flexible timings and flexible work environment, although a 365 day job.
