Dzongri La Trek

With a panorama of more than 16 peaks from Dzongri top, The Yuksom - Dzongri La trek is a power trek in itself. Climbing upto the final altitude of 4170 meters in just 3 days, this trek gives you one of the most beautiful views of Kanchenjunga and that of the Oklathang Valley, apart from offering a physically demanding trek as well. The trek from Dzongri to Dzongri La following the route to HMI base camp is an awesome experience with giant mesmerizing peaks of the Himalayas surround you in its panorama. The huge and spiritual presence of Black Kabru standing tall right in front of you is just breathtaking, apart from the Kabru group of peaks taking your heart away. Kanchenjunga, the mother of all blesses you with its magestic presence - a rare combination of Himalayan Aura.

The cultural experience of the Dzongri La trek is a rich and vivid one too!! The cultural mix and harmony of Lepchas, Bhutias, Subbas and Limboos adds to the cultural richness of this trek. 

The flora and fauna of the Kanchenjunga National Park does not fail to attract your attention as well. Here, you will trek under one of the most denser forest cover in the Himalayas. The campsite of Sachen and Bakhim in right in the middle of the deep jungle, which starts to clear as we gain altitude from Tshokha and beyond.

• Goechala is a premier trek offering up-close views of the mighty Kanchenjunga which is the 3rd highest mountain in the World. The vast mountain massif of Kanchenjunga stands tall and forms a natural border between Sikkim and Nepal. It is not just a mountain for the region. • In the months of February, March and April, the trek is beautified by the bloom and fragrance of fresh rhododendrons and magnolias. As we trek through some of the densest forests in the Himalayas, crossing the gushing tributaries of the mighty Teesta river, the colours and fragrance of its rich flora take away all the pain of our steep ascends and descends. You also need to be cautious of wild junipers as their sweet smell can be intoxicating.
• The dense forest cover of the Kanchenjunga National Park is home to many wildlife species and is an abode for bird watchers. The rare Red Pandas can be seen biting on the tall bamboo trees if you are lucky and are in a smaller and quiet trekking group. 
• When we talk about the Goechala trek, we cannot miss the mystic Samiti Lake which is one of the most serene lakes I have ever witnessed. Altogether, a different and divine energy works around it. Also, beneath the Goechala, there is a small and lovely turquoise colour lake that appears like a tear drop. The mere sight of this lake will take you out of this World.
• While we talk about the Goechala Trek, we should not miss the glory of the sunrise and sunset this trek has to offer from the top of Dzongri and Goechala. It's simply the best magic of Mother Nature that you can witness.
