Our Equipment Rental Store in Sankri just got a year older. It has been a wonderful journey so far and we are glad and actually overwhelmed that till this date, our team was able to support lots of individual and independent trekkers by providing them with all the requirements of good quality, well maintained equipment and trusted, professional local resources.
That we could create a well coordinated travel experience for them despite connectivity problems. Even in the peak season of winter, we could serve all the online requests and few offline as well without failing to provide well maintained, clean equipment on rent - be it size dependent items like shoes, -20 waterproof down jacket or common items like headlamps, trekking poles, waterproof gloves, etc. including High Altitude Medicine Kit and toilet paper on sale
:-). The number of requests that we served are motivating: over 500 offline invoices and 353 online invoices.
We worked with an objective to develop trust among the trekking community in India that they can just come over to Sankri, and they could plan your trek as per personal requirements, time and budget, guided by our professional experts. Furthermore, in this process, we feel happy that we could promote Eco-Tourism by maintaining 100% local resourcing and purchasing locally, all the local organic vegetables that we serve on our treks including Local Cuisines. Even our Home stay (Trekkers Lodge - Sankri) is leased and not owned, as that's what our objectives and directions are.
Finally, we feel proud to have enabled few passionate trek enthusiasts in our country to Be Their Own Trek Leader and promote self sufficiency in this lovely sport. More than just a business, it has been like a service to the trekking community.

Note: We are upgrading and changing the location of our #Equipment_Rental Store in #Sankri to a little bigger space. Temporarily, we are providing the rental service from our Trekkers' Lodge located in Saudh, about 500 meters from Sankri market from where the trekking route to Kedarkantha starts. Below is the photo for the same.
